AdBlue® (Diesel Exhaust Fluid)

AdBlue® is a liquid solution for diesel engines to help lower nitrogen oxide emissions by breaking it down into water and nitrogen.

“AdBlue” is a registered trademark of Verband der Automobilindustrie.

Brake Fluid

Brake fluid is a type of hydraulic fluid used in hydraulic brake systems, such as the one in your Audi vehicle. It’s used to transfer the pressure placed on the brake pedal into braking force whenever you apply your brakes. And since its properties absorb moisture, it’s recommended that you replace it every two years regardless of mileage.

Coolant

Engine coolant is designed to help transfer heat from the engine components to the radiator for cooling. Additionally, it has a high boiling point to help protect the engine from overheating while preventing corrosion. Also known as antifreeze, it can prevent freezing to temperatures as low as -83°F.

Engine Oil

Oil is the lifeblood of your engine, and driving around with dirty engine oil can shorten its lifespan. Over time, heat, wear, contamination and age can impact engine oil viscosity and it’s ability to clean and protect, which can cause damage to internal moving parts.

Power Steering Fluid

In order to achieve the exhilarating performance you expect from your Audi, it’s important to ensure your power steering system is functioning properly. And having the correct fluid formulated for your vehicle helps ensure that it will.

Transmission Fluids and Specialty Oils

Much like your engine’s oil, transmission fluid and gear oil are vital to help ensure that all the gears stay lubricated for a longer life.

Washer Fluid

What makes our washer fluid stand out from all the others? Audi windshield washer solvent has been tested to help ensure your windshield washer level sensor will not provide a false reading. It’s available in both ready to use (in most states) and concentrate formulas for both cold and warm climates.

Alternators

The battery is the power source for all of your vehicle’s components and features, and the alternator is what keeps it fully charged. Every time you drive your vehicle, the battery consumes large amounts of electrical power; at the same time, the alternator is working hard to replenish that loss of power back into the battery.

Control Modules

Audi Genuine Control Modules are the epicenter of your vehicle, and monitor and synchronize many of its components, including the engine and transmission. And if they fail, you’ll notice erratic engine behavior such as a loss in power, hesitation and misfires.

Flooded Lead-Calcium Battery

With the hundreds of electrical components that make up your Audi vehicle, having a reliable power source to keep them functioning perfectly is a necessity. Audi Genuine Batteries are designed to be long-lasting and provide outstanding cranking power to confidently get your Audi started.

Ignition Coils

The ignition coil converts battery power (12V) into thousands of volts that are required to create the spark plug’s electrical charge. When fired, this spark ignites the engine’s air and fuel mixture generating power.

Oxygen Sensors

A simple yet crucial component, the oxygen sensor monitors exhaust levels that, if bad, can affect fuel economy and ignition timing, in turn, causing a rough idle, poor fuel efficiency and fouled spark plugs.

Start-Stop Battery

Start-stop batteries deliver a large burst of power as needed to restart your vehicle’s engine, if equipped with a start-stop ignition system, which helps to conserve fuel by automatically switching off the engine every time the vehicle comes to a stop.

Starters

You’re not going anywhere if your vehicle won’t start. The starter is what brings your engine to come to life. So imagine how much work this crucial component puts into a lifetime of startups.

Air Suspension

Audi air suspension consists of tough rubber bags inflated to a certain pressure to achieve a proper ride height, allowing more adjustability than a coil spring. These bags are matched with continuous damping control shock absorbers that adjust according to road conditions, the driver’s style and the mode specified in Audi drive select.

Ball Joints

The ball joint in your vehicle’s suspension acts much like the shoulder joint in your body in that it swivels and rotates with the motion of a specific component. Tie-rods and control arms are a couple of parts that incorporate a ball joint into their design to help prevent binding.

Brake Calipers

The brake calipers house one or more hydraulic pistons that press the brake pads together onto the rotor to help bring your vehicle to a smooth stop.

Brake Hardware

Replacing just the pads, rotors or calipers isn’t always enough. With every brake repair, it’s important to ensure even the smallest parts are up to date and performing correctly.

Brake Pads

You know that dusty buildup you see on your wheels? That’s brake dust, which is the result of friction created between your brake pads and brake rotors every time you press the brake pedal. It’s perfectly normal. It may be time to replace the pads if you feel grinding, hear squealing while stopping, or if you see a lit brake-related light on your dash.

Brake Rotors

These discs are what your brake pads grab onto as you press the brake pedal and bring your vehicle to a stop. A worn or damaged brake rotor can create pedal pulsing, steering wheel vibration and/or a squeal or grinding noise.

Coil Springs

A crucial part of your vehicle’s suspension, coil springs help support the weight of your vehicle and maintain its ride height.

Control Arms

Another crucial component to the suspension of your vehicle: When the strut absorbs bumps, the control arm allows the wheel to move up and down while keeping the bottom of the tire in contact with the road. Ball joints connect these parts together, while rubber bushings help isolate road noise and small vibrations from the rest of the vehicle.

Master Brake Cylinder

Your vehicle’s master brake cylinder converts the force applied to the brake pedal to hydraulic pressure by feeding brake fluid into the braking system. A faulty master cylinder can result in loss of brake pressure and, in turn, can potentially cause partial or complete failure.

Shocks and Struts

Typically used on the rear suspension of most vehicles, shock absorbers help cushion road irregularities for a smooth ride. Struts perform the additional task of providing structural support to the suspension. The A6 utilizes a five-link front suspension with shocks, while the TT utilizes a strut-type front suspension.

Sway Bars

Audi Genuine Sway Bar mounts, bushings and end links work as a system to help reduce body roll during cornering and while driving around winding roads.

Belts

Serpentine engine belts from Audi transport power to your vital automotive components from the crankshaft. The serpentine belt is a long, winding single belt that keeps your alternator, power steering pump, air conditioning and/or your water pump running. A worn-out belt can slip or break, creating noise and robbing each component of its power.

Dust/Pollen Filters

Airborne contaminants, such as pollutants, pollen, mold spores and microorganisms, can cause dust buildup and unpleasant odors to enter your vehicle’s interior, but can be filtered out via the ventilation system.

Engine Air Filters

Air filters help prevent road grit, dust and moisture from entering and damaging your engine’s vital components.

Fuel Filter

The fuel filter is designed to capture fine contaminants that may be floating in your fuel tank before they enter the vehicle’s fuel injectors.

Hoses

Hoses vary as much as the systems they’re used with. Each hose is manufactured for a specific use, such as gasoline, oil, brake fluid, transmission or engine coolant. Be sure to have your hoses inspected regularly for cracks or leaks.

Oil Filter

Engine-wear particles and other microcontaminants are filtered out by the oil filter to help prevent excessive wear on the engine’s vital internal components.

Spark Plugs

The electric arc that a spark plug emits creates the ignition for the combustion (air/fuel mixture) needed to start and run your vehicle. By putting the engine’s pistons in motion, your vehicle powers up, and stays powered up.

Wiper Blades

A clear, streak-free windshield means a clear view of the road ahead. Don’t overlook this important feature when having routine maintenance performed on your vehicle.

Wheel & Tire Packages

When seasonal temps drop below 45°F, all-season and summer tires lose their pliability and grip. Likewise, winter tires wear considerably faster and become overly flexible on hot pavement. Don’t compromise safety or performance when the weather changes.

Wheels

Following the Audi standard of design, every exceptionally styled wheel is specially made to fit each individual model. Plus, take advantage of Audi Original Tires to keep the performance look going all year long.
