There are two reasons that you may be unable to display lock or unlock:
1. The vehicle isn’t equipped with a telematics module. You can find out if this is the case by checking if there is a eCall button and/or status light in the overhead console in front of the rear view mirror. 2. You may not be currently set up as the Key User (or approved secondary user) for the vehicle.

First confirm your Wi-Fi hotspot is enabled in your vehicle’s connection settings. You can access these settings from the home screen: SETTINGS > Connection settings > Wi-Fi. With the hotspot enabled, you can connect to your vehicle’s hotspot like any other Wi-Fi connection.

From the home screen: MEDIA > Source > Connect external device > New connection. The available Bluetooth devices will be displayed after several seconds. Press the desired mobile device in the list of displayed devices. A PIN for a secure Bluetooth connection will be generated. Confirm the PIN on your mobile device to complete the connection. Once connected, the mobile device will be displayed in the Connected devices menu as a Bluetooth audio player.
