You can reference the phone manufacturer’s websites that list their compatible phone models. Note: Some recently released phones such as the Samsung Z Flip 6 and the Apple iPhone 16e do not come with Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology and must use NFC with the Audi Digital Key.

Alternatively, the key user should have received an email from “myAudi” containing the 8-digit pairing code, along with the Apple and Google Wallet icons at the bottom. Clicking on these icons allows the user to add the digital key directly to their Apple Wallet or Google Wallet to automatically complete the setup process on the phone they wish to use as the primary digital key.

The pairing code is generated upon the key user being set. To generate a new pairing code, the key user must be removed from the vehicle and then set again using the Audi activation card process. Alternatively, the user can enter an invalid code up to seven times in the MMI to force a new code to be generated and sent via email.

Unfortunately, the current vehicle software restricts the sharing of digital keys. However, this restriction is planned to be removed after the vehicle receives a vehicle software update, anticipated to occur later this year.

No, this is not recommended. The Audi connect Key Card will automatically be deactivated once the key fob or the paired digital key is used to access the vehicle (e.g. opening the trunk of the vehicle). Unlike other EV brands, the Audi connect Key Card is not designed to be used as a daily key to access the vehicle.

The Audi connect Key Card can be replaced by requesting a new card from your Authorized Audi Dealership. A lost key card cannot be used to access the vehicle if it is never activated. If it was activated, simply use a key fob to access and start the vehicle. This will permanently deactivate the key card.

Whenever the vehicle has been accessed via the Audi Digital Key or a key fob, you will not be able to use the Audi connect Key Card until the card has been activated for use. If a wallet or small purse is placed in the storage area directly next to the mobile phone wireless charger, then this can indirectly activate the NFC card reader in the vehicle. This message will appear when the NFC card reader detects an NFC card that is placed near the reader, even if it is not the Audi connect Key Card (e.g. credit cards). Simply remove any cards from the immediate area to avoid seeing this message in the future.

The system can be permanently deactivated in the MMI under the following path:        MMI screen >>  App selector >> Vehicle >> More >> Scroll down to “Rear Occupant Detection” >> toggle to OFF (move to left)Optionally, the system can be temporarily deactivated upon turning OFF the ignition and using the toggle in the MMI’s “Goodbye” screen.

The system will continue to display this option to the driver upon turning off the vehicle, regardless of the setting in the MMI. This serves as a reminder that the mechanical system is still available. Deactivating the feature in the MMI settings menu only disables the automatic movement sensor. Once deactivated, the sensor remains OFF, even if the toggle appears enabled on the “Goodbye” screen.

The Mobile data setting is OFF by default for the Guest user profile and any new user profile that is created in the MMI. You must first log in with your myAudi credentials (or create a local user) and then turn the feature ON. Upon re-entry into the vehicle, you must select this same user profile to allow your setting to be retained.

You must create and use a custom user profile in the MMI to save certain vehicle and MMI settings.

In some instances, the vehicle can choose to present the user profile associated with the key user of the vehicle. This most common scenario is when the vehicle is accessed using an Audi Digital Key or the Audi connect Key Card. In this situation, the driver must always select their user profile if they are not the key user of the vehicle and are accessing the vehicle with a digital key.

You must select the media source “now playing” screen to press the virtual pause button on the MMI screen. Muting or turning the volume down to “0” will not pause the audio source.

Yes, the media will pause when answering a call. The MMI will also switch back to the original media source and resume playing when a call ends.
