Key information for owners of the Audi Q7 (MY 2017 – 2018)

AT&T’s 3G turndown is scheduled to begin on 2/22/22.

The following Audi connect services will no longer be available following AT&T’s 3G turndown:

Audi connect CARE’s SOS and emergency call feature, online roadside assistance, Audi Service Request, and Audi incident assistance, remote lock and unlock, vehicle status report, and stolen vehicle locator

Audi connect PRIME’s Geo-fencing, speed/curfew alert, valet alert, and Car finder

The following infotainment services will not be affected by the discontinuation of 3G service and will continue to function as they do today:

Audi connect PRIME’s Satellite imagery, Online traffic information, Fuel prices, Travel information, Weather, Parking information, Internet radio, Natural voice recognition, Point-of-interest search, and Traffic light information

Audi connect PLUS’ Wi-Fi hotspot

Audi connect CARE services like Emergency Call, Roadside Assistance, and Audi Incident assistance will not be available. All other safety features such as Audi pre sense, adaptive cruise control, active lane assist, and Audi side assist are not affected by the 3G turndown and will continue to function as they do today.

For emergency services, please dial 911. You can contact Audi Roadside Assistance by calling 1-(800)-411-9988. You can find more details on Audi Roadside Assistance here: https://www.audiusa.com/us/web/en/support/help/roadside-assistance.html.

A majority of the telematics-based services affected by the 3G turndown are part of Audi connect’s CARE package. Audi connect CARE is included free of charge for vehicles equipped with telematics services and does not require a paid subscription. Because these services are provided by Audi free of charge and are not tied to a paid subscription, Audi will not offer refunds for vehicle’s losing access to telematics-based services.

If you are a PRIME subscriber and would like to cancel your PRIME subscription due to the loss of Audi connect PRIME’s Geo-fencing, speed/curfew alert, valet alert, and Car finder, you can contact the Audi connect customer support team at 1-877-505-2834. Refunds will be available for any unused services.

When an Audi vehicle cannot connect to the target network, it may display a warning message on the driver information center and emit an audible chime to warn the driver the vehicle is not connected and emergency services are not available.

Please call your preferred Audi Dealer and schedule an appointment to receive a complimentary software update. The update will deactivate the 3G hardware in the vehicle to disable a warning message displayed on the driver information screen and prevent the vehicle from emitting an audible chime meant to warn the driver when the vehicle is not connected and emergency services are not available. Depending on when you took delivery of your vehicle, you may be eligible to receive motion for Audi connect installed free of charge.

Motion for Audi connect will utilize a dealer installed connected car adapter and an all-new mobile app designed to replace a majority of the telematics-based services impacted by the 3G Turndown. Motion for Audi connect will deliver services like Automatic Crash Notification, Manual SOS Call, Stolen Vehicle Locator, Roadside Assistance, Live Vehicle Trip Tracking, and more.
