The Audi virtual cockpit offers classic and infotainment modes for customized, streamlined use.
Audi smartphone interface
This standard feature enables Apple CarPlay® or Google™ Android Auto™ interface, allowing you access to your compatible smartphone’s features, such as navigation and select third-party apps, and can be controlled through the MMI® interface, voice control system or steering wheel controls.
You can connect your Audi to your world with available Audi connect®, an intuitive system that integrates sought-after information like Google Earth™, weather conditions and traffic information. Bang & Olufsen® sound system with 3D sound
The available Bang & Olufsen® sound system with 3D sound provides concert hall definition with 19 speakers, a 16-channel amplifier and 755 watts of power. 3D sound can be generated from a variety of sources and can create a previously unknown feeling of spaciousness within the vehicle by reproducing sound in its most original form.
Audi pre sense® basic and Audi pre sense® city
Have some sense
These standard features of the 2019 A4 help increase drivers’ awareness of surroundings and help prevent accidents. Audi pre sense® basic helps secure the vehicle during unusual or emergency maneuvers, while Audi pre sense® city helps detect vehicles and pedestrians and can initiate emergency braking at speeds of up to 52 mph.
Rear cross traffic assist
Included with available Audi side assist with Audi pre sense® rear, this feature uses rear sensors to help scan the area behind and to the sides of the vehicle, while the standard rear view camera helps provide additional visibility when backing up, as in reversing out of a perpendicular parking space. In critical situations, a warning tone and brake jolt can be applied to help prompt the driver to apply the brakes to stop the vehicle.
Traffic sign recognition
Standard with the Prestige trim, Traffic sign recognition is a camera-based system that helps detect speed limit signs and displays the information in the available Audi virtual cockpit. For example, current detected speed limits are shown in the instrument display. Additionally, the system evaluates various driving conditions and no passing zones as well as school and construction zones.
Audi adaptive cruise control with Traffic jam assist
This available feature helps maintain a preset distance to the vehicle in front and can help stop or accelerate your Audi according to traffic conditions. Traffic jam assist helps provide gentle acceleration, braking and steering guidance in congested traffic when traveling at speeds between 0 and 40 mph.
Audi active lane assist
Audi active lane assist is standard on the 2019 Audi A4 Prestige trim. Using a camera mounted above the rear view mirror housing and sophisticated processing software, it observes lane markings and can help provide gentle steering wheel warning vibrations if it determines that the vehicle is approaching the edge of the lane without signaling.
Audi pre sense® rear
Standard with the Premium Plus trim, or available with the Convenience package for Premium trim, Audi pre sense® rear monitors traffic following the vehicle. Based on the vehicle’s own speed, the system is designed to calculate the speed of following cars. If it senses a critical situation, the system can apply measures like partially closing the sunroof and side windows, and pretensioning front safety belts.
