The performance tire advantage

The greater width, thinner side profiles, and grippier material of performance tires allow for stronger roadholding, letting you take curves and corners with greater enthusiasm. However, be mindful that such tires call for more frequent replacement, and that owners living in areas with harsh winters are advised to keep a spare set of all-season or winter tires for snowy/icy conditions.

Frequently asked questions

Summer performance tires are specifically designed for optimum performance driving and handling.* These tires are not recommended for cold, snowy, or icy weather conditions. If you drive in cold, snowy, or icy conditions, Audi of America recommends you equip your vehicle with four all-season or winter tires which will offer better traction and handing in these conditions.

(Performance tires have a lower aspect ratio that aids performance and handling. Proper inflation level will help ensure the tire operates as designed and will help avoid tire, rim or vehicle damage. Due to the lower aspect ratio of these tires, the vehicle will take on a sportier drive and deliver responsive handling.)

*High-performance tires are designed for optimum performance and handling in warm climates. They are not suitable for cold, snowy, or icy weather conditions. If you drive under those circumstances, you should equip your vehicle with all-season or winter tires, which offer better traction under those conditions. The recommended winter or all-season tire size specified for your car or its equivalent should be used. These high-performance tires also have a lower aspect ratio that aids performance and handling; however, in order to avoid tire, rim or vehicle damage, it is important that the inflation pressure is regularly checked and maintained at optimum levels. Please also remember in making your selection that, while these tires deliver responsive handling, they may ride less comfortably and make more noise than other choices. Finally, these tires may wear more quickly than other choices.

Move to the second upward position to be in the 'low' wiper speed, move to the third upward position for the 'high' wiper speed. Move the wiper downward when you want to wipe the windshield briefly. Pull the lever forward and hold for the automatic wiper/washer. Once the lever is released, the washer stops and the wipers keep going for about four seconds.*

Audi TDI clean diesel vehicles are equipped with a diesel misfueling protector.  It allows the vehicle to be fueled only with a diesel fuel pump nozzle.  A worn or damaged nozzle or a nozzle that is too small may not be able to open the diesel misfueling protector.  If this is the case, try turning the nozzle before inserting it in the fuel filler neck, use a different fuel pump or see your authorized Audi dealer or authorized repair facility for assistance.*
