Charge
on the go

A growing national network
of public chargers help you keep moving.

In the U.S., there are almost 20,000 public charging stations with over 50,000 public charging outlets. The U.S. market is projected to grow rapidly over the next few years, so charging will be made even more common and convenient. Electrify America is planning on adding to the existing public chargers to establish a vast network that is anticipated to include nearly 500 locations with 2,000 DC fast-charging outlets by mid-2019 for easy charging wherever you are, with charging speeds ranging from 50 kW to 350 kW.

Electrify America is planning on expanding access in 17 metropolitan areas including Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., Seattle and more.

Within these areas, neighborhood-based charging stations will soon feature fast EV charging of up to 150 kW in workplaces, retail locations, garages and more. These charging stations should offer up to 80% of charge in as little as 40 minutes for most electric vehicles.

Highway sites located along high-traffic corridors are slated to include two cross-country routes with 150 kW and 350 kW DC fast chargers coming online soon.

Cross-country route info and more, see https://www.electrifyamerica.com/our-plan for details.

To make road trips more convenient, these highway sites are planned to be located an average of just 70 miles apart and no more than 120 miles from each other.
