Staying in sight, and top of mind
On the road, shifts happen. Constantly moving vehicles, traffic and obstacles. The Audi suite of available advanced driver assistance technologies can help alert you to some of the unpredictable shifts that come your way. The S5 Coupe features standard Audi pre sense® basic and Audi pre sense® city. Additionally, advanced driver assistance features including Audi side assist with Audi pre sense® rear and Audi adaptive cruise control with Traffic jam assist are available to help the driver navigate everyday driving situations.
Audi adaptive cruise control with Traffic jam assist
This available feature helps maintain a preset distance to the vehicle in front and can help stop or accelerate your Audi according to traffic conditions. In congested traffic, Traffic jam assist provides gentle acceleration, braking and steering guidance when traveling at speeds between 0 and 40 mph.
Traffic sign recognition
Available Traffic sign recognition is a camera-based system that helps detect speed limit signs and displays the information in the available Audi virtual cockpit. For example, current detected speed limits are shown in the instrument display.
Audi active lane assist
Using the camera mounted in front of the rear view mirror housing and sophisticated processing software, available Audi active lane assist observes lane markings and can provide gentle steering wheel warning vibrations if it is determined that the vehicle is approaching the edge of the lane without signaling.
Rear cross traffic assist
This available feature, part of the Premium Plus trim level, uses rear sensors to help scan the area behind the vehicle and sides while a rear view camera helps provide additional visibility when backing up, as in reversing out of a perpendicular parking space. In critical situations, a warning tone and brake jolt can be applied to prompt the driver to stop the vehicle.
