Dynamic Steering System
The dynamic steering of the A5 with Audi drive select varies both the level of steering assist as well as steering ratio. At low speeds, it provides for easy maneuverability thanks to higher levels of power assist while at higher speeds, the system provides less assist and a more direct ratio for maximum stability and handling performance.
Adaptive Damper System
As part of Audi drive select, the vehicle's adaptive suspension is adjusted along with dynamic steering, transmission shift characteristics and engine response. The adjustment is based on whichever of the four driving configurations you choose via Audi drive select: Comfort, Auto, Dynamic or Individual.
Transmission
Depending on the mode selected, Audi drive select varies the transmission’s shift points to help create the desired driving characteristics.
Throttle Response
To further enhance the different driving characteristics offered by Audi drive select, the throttle and engine response are automatically adjusted accordingly.
