Electronic Brake-force Distribution
Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) constitute one unit inasmuch as they share a number of the same parts.
Differential
When a vehicle turns a corner, the inside wheels cover a shorter distance than those on the outside.
Once the roof rack crossbars are detected by the innovative ESP® system, the Q5 compensates for a higher center of gravity by adjusting the ESP® response.
Hill Descent Control
Hill descent control allows for a controlled descent on steep inclines by automatically braking individual wheels to help maintain a preset speed.
Six Airbags
The Audi Q5 offers driver and front passenger dual-stage and dual threshold next-generation airbag supplemental restraints with occupant sensor. Also included are driver and front passenger seat-mounted chest side airbags as well as Sideguard™ head protection airbags for all outboard occupants with rollover sensor.
