The coupé version of the Audi 100, with distinct echoes of contemporary Italian car design, was first seen at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 1969. Details that distinguished this car with its fastback body style from the regular Audi 100 saloon included wider tires, a variable-height steering wheel, ventilated front brake discs and upgraded interior equipment and trim.
