The light sensor measures the surrounding light conditions with the aid of a photocell. If the headlight control switch is set to “Auto”, the low-beam headlights are automatically activated at dusk.
The light sensor is usually combined with the
rain sensor, located on the windshield and just behind the rearview mirror.
