To compensate for the different wheel velocities between the front and rear suspensions, quattro® permanent all-wheel drive has an additional center differential between the front and rear suspensions. It prevents stress build-up in the drive train and automatically distributes power. The tires with better traction get more power, and the transmission of power is more effective and safer due to improved road grip.
