Folks see one coming down the road and assume it's a Ferrari or Lamborghini, or some such exotic. You feel every bit of that driving Audi's new R8, a low-slung mid-engine (behind the front seat) sports car with the audacious looks of a racer and a throbbing V-8 under its giant rear window.
